In a recent issue of the UCT Alumni Magazine, SHAWCO’s executive director, Prof Jackie Stewart, was featured, discussing the organization’s history, future plans, and how alumni can get involved.

According to Prof Stewart, SHAWCO’s future plans include expanding its services to more communities and increasing its impact in the areas where it operates. The organization also plans to continue working closely with UCT and other universities in South Africa to provide students with opportunities to engage in community service and social outreach.

For UCT alumni who wish to get involved with SHAWCO, there are several ways to do so. One option is to make a donation to the organization, which can help fund its various programs and initiatives.

Overall, SHAWCO is a remarkable organization that has had a significant impact on the lives of countless people in South Africa. With its commitment to social justice and community service, SHAWCO is a shining example of what can be achieved through the dedication and hard work of individuals and organizations working together towards a common goal.
